How una dey?🙃😉
Disclaimer: I'm not perfect, so we're all in this together.
I'd be talking about a sensitive issue regarding guilt... pull your chairs closer, or in this case, pull your mind closer.
I personally like to incorporate my faith into my reality, for me its more that a religion or a practice, it's a lifestyle so I tend to treat my issues as human, with Extra help(the holy spirit). We often go through life issues regardless of our chosen faith, and the subject (guilt) is a part and parcel of everyone's life.
Sometime ago (not too long ago), I did something really bad, so bad it made me cry regrettably. I quickly got to my room, jumped into my closet and poured my heart out... I cant remember how long I was there, but suddenly I felt a weight leave me... I knew what peace felt like that day.
Afterwards I came out, had my bath and slept. Morning came and I was back to reality, the guilt didn't leave me and my conscience kept rebuking me subtly... I went on Google and searched for what to do next, it didn't take minutes before I stumbled unto a blog that talked about retribution and I knew that was the next thing to do...
Next thing was to tell someone about it, and I did. Now this part can be a little bit tricky because most times, the people we could have easily relay our bats to can be judgemental or not receptive. Everyone has got a friend or two, but there's always this person who we could easily dump our problems on, they accept our information, rebuke us and help us.
When you tet-a-tet with someone about your woes, it helps in your turning around process and telling guilt to stfu! It works. Since then guilt cannot make me lose sleep!
In summary,
While we work each day to become better people, life happens to all of us and we make bad decisions at some point. The real work is how we react to it or how we go about it afterwards (funny enough, I learnt this lesson from mad men but in a much deeper sense). The holy spirit is a friend who is interested in you genuinely and he is ALWAYS with you. When you ignore the guilt and your conscience, you hush the holy spirit. Instead of making excuses for your errors, accept that you failed and be open to correcting it. Ask for forgiveness no matter how bad it looks, God doesn't rebuke his child when they come seeking him with their whole heart (Jer 29:13).
Confessing to someone whom you trust(it could be anybody and in my case, it was my sister). Most importantly ask the holy spirit to guide you out of that path because you need to rid yourself of negative actions that are entangling.
Truth is, guilt can still wake you up at night just to spite you... but hey, I tell mine to hush! Because the lord didn't given me the spirit of fear and also there is no condemnation to they that are in christ (Rom 8:1, 2Tim 1:7)
Fam... we move!
Till now, I know you're all still trying to figure out what it was, kwantinue! 🙃🙃🙃
Remember to sanitize o.
