Hello YOU.
How's life treating you? The culture of exchanging pleasantries before I delve into my gist is slowly leaving, maybe it's because I don't know if you guys like the idea. What do you think?
Well here's my gist, something I learnt recently. I hope you're able to grasp the Rhema! Throughout the scripture, the Lord would always differentiate His version of whatever you are getting in life. For context, when God talked about giving peace, He made sure to add that it wasn't the kind the world was giving (John 14:12), same when James talked about wisdom (James 3:13-15). It is just for you to know which of them you are experiencing at a particular time.
Today's focus would be on wisdom, and I would like to ask, will you say you are wise? If yes, then whose wisdom is it? It's getting HOT in here!
I've been doing a lot of talking these days, and most of the time, it's me trying to defend my choices. The truth is, I mean these things. However, my reasons are the problem. Too many people are talking in the world, and they are helping us with words to puff and pad our ego-filled choices. Can you relate?
After reading the whole of it, I knew quickly what the Holy Spirit was telling me. Now, the world is convulsing, and a lot of ill-fitted opinions are flying around. We quickly pick them up, and in a couple of minutes, they have become our truth. Too many 'I' makes it selfish. If your why does not consist of other people's feelings or benefit, then it's self-seeking, and this isn't God's wisdom.
How to tell both wisdom apart?
God's wisdom is first pure, free from worldly radicals that make it perverse. It is seeking peace always and looking out for others as well, without partiality. It is soft-spoken and willing to yield (not seeking respect and submits to being taught). Without hypocrisy, it overflows with mercy.
While the wisdom of the world is earthly, sensual, and devilish. Before you get irked by the 'devilish' part, let's break it down. The earthly attributes have to do with all the physical and palpable experience that gives personal glory. Then, sensuality exposes physical appetites regarding your motives that need to be fed, and if you look carefully, you will see how they are all for SELF.
Everything with an underlying motive to please SELF when it is at the detriment of other people's benefit, especially when there is a partnership or collaboration, grieves God. with CAPS on everything God has instituted. Of course, I don't expect this to cover things that do not relate to God in any way, and you know the ones. LOL
If you place your TRUTH beside this different wisdom to compare, would you still say you are wise? Will it still be candid? Will it still be valid?
